Met behulp van zonnepanelen zal een deel van de benodigde energie lokaal geproduceerd worden.<br \/>De recuperatie van de totaliteit van het regenwater dat op de projectzone valt en gedeeltelijk ook grijs water (bvb afkomstig van de douches) zal gerecupereerd worden.<br \/>Nextensa wil niet enkel de (energie)verbruiken drastische reduceren, maar zet ook in op carbon footprint van de bouwmaterialen.<br \/>Het inzetten van kwalitatieve materialen met hernieuwbare of gerecycleerde componenten komende uit de regio krijgen de voorkeur.. Er wordt onderzocht hoe materiaalpaspoorten opgebouwd kunnen worden zodat de gebruikte materialen later teruggewonnen kunnen worden (urban mining). <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=%22text-decoration: underline;%22>ZACHTE MOBILITEIT:<\/span><br \/>Gemotoriseerd vervoer wordt verplicht om aan de rand van Tour &#038; Taxis ondergronds te gaan en op de site kan enkel gewandeld en gefietst worden met uitzondering van dienstverkeer. De ondergrondse Lake Side parking zal een aparte inrit en uitrit krijgen via de Anna Bochlaan.<br \/>Bijna alle fietsenstallingen worden bovengronds aan de ingang van de gebouwen voorzien zodat een snelle toegang tot de woningen mogelijk is. Er is ook overdekte parkeerruimte voor cargofietsen en fietskarren voorzien. Tour &#038; Taxis is zeer goed ontsloten met verschillende buslijnen, en de Suzan Daniel voetgangers- en fietsersbrug richting het Noordstation en binnenkort ook een tramtrac\u00e9.   <\/p>\n<p><span style=%22text-decoration: underline;%22>BIODIVERSITEIT:<\/span><br \/>Het masterplan voorziet een vergroting van het park zodat een groene vinger zich uitstrekt vanaf het park, over de ganse site van Tour &#038; Taxis tot aan het kanaal. Dit betekent dat de daken meer en langer het regenwater vasthouden om ook in drogere perioden de planten te voeden en te zorgen voor een vertraagde afvoer. Mede dankzij de uitgestrekte vijvers zullen vogels, insecten en gewassen aangetrokken worden om te gedijen op de site. Er zal veel minder fijn stof aanwezig zijn dan gemiddeld in de stad waarneembaar is. Le quartier a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 impliqu\u00e9 d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but du projet.
