Plus de 300 personnes travaillent dans les bureaux de Rotterdam, Shanghai, Paris, Berlin et New York et d\u00e9veloppent des projets dans le monde entier gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un processus de conception multidisciplinaire et collaboratif qui implique une recherche technique et cr\u00e9ative rigoureuse. Il en r\u00e9sulte des projets novateurs et audacieux tels que Villa VPRO, Markthal, Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen et Valley aux Pays-Bas. Sur le plan international, MVRDV a attir\u00e9 l\u2019attention sur des projets tels que la biblioth\u00e8que de Tianjin Binhai (Chine), WERK12 (Allemagne), The Canyon (USA) et Seoullo 7017 Skygarden (Cor\u00e9e du Sud). En collaboration avec la TU Delft, MVRDV dirige The Why Factory, un groupe de r\u00e9flexion ind\u00e9pendant qui travaille sur la ville du futur. Le travail de MVRDV a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9 dans le monde entier. Il consiste en un ensemble de dix-sept b\u00e2timents de diff\u00e9rentes hauteurs et con\u00e7us par sept architectes diff\u00e9rents, dont MVRDV. Un campus mixte de bureaux et de logements se trouve sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 est du terrain (zone A), avec des b\u00e2timents de grande envergure en continuit\u00e9 avec le b\u00e2timent Herman Teirlinck et le b\u00e2timent de Bruxelles Environnement. Ces b\u00e2timents int\u00e9greront les principes durables les plus ambitieux dans leur construction, y compris des conceptions en bois lamell\u00e9-crois\u00e9 ou des structures hybrides l\u00e9g\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">La zone B, partie centrale du Masterplan, est celle du Courtyard. Quatorze b\u00e2timents individuels, principalement r\u00e9sidentiels, sont regroup\u00e9s autour d\u2019un jardin commun, offrant aux r\u00e9sidents un espace pour profiter de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur et une opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9changer, d\u2019interagir et de jouer. Le rez-de-chauss\u00e9e de ces b\u00e2timents comprend des \u00e9quipements publics, des Horeca et des petits magasins, afin de cr\u00e9er et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer une localit\u00e9 dynamique. La largeur du Courtyard refl\u00e8te pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment celle de la Gare Maritime, autrefois la plus grande gare de marchandises d\u2019Europe, r\u00e9pondant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du b\u00e2timent historique \u00e0 dimension humaine, et apportant une continuit\u00e9 avec la morphologie du site et des rues existantes. Le b\u00e2timent \u00e9l\u00e9gant du c\u00f4t\u00e9 parc est s\u00e9par\u00e9e du Courtyard et ferme le Masterplan sur son c\u00f4t\u00e9 ouest. La ligne d\u2019horizon changeante (up and down) des \u00eelots urbains de la ville est reconnaissable \u00e0 Bruxelles et, en juxtaposant des b\u00e2timents de hauteurs et d\u2019empreintes diff\u00e9rentes, cette caract\u00e9ristique devient contemporaine, conservant son caract\u00e8re distinctif tout en \u00e9tant reconnaissable comme un seul \u00e9l\u00e9ment urbain. Les cours int\u00e9rieures traditionnelles de Bruxelles sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement divis\u00e9es en petits jardins priv\u00e9s. Tout en conservant le jardin du Courtyard, celui-ci a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 comme un jardin collectif, afin de favoriser le sens de la communaut\u00e9, de fournir un espace vert plus grand mais intime pour tous les r\u00e9sidents, et d\u2019\u00e9largir la gamme d\u2019activit\u00e9s qui peuvent \u00eatre pratiqu\u00e9es. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La brique est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sente dans les fa\u00e7ades bruxelloises traditionnelles et est les mat\u00e9riaux dominant sur le site de Tour &amp; Taxis. C\u2019est \u00e9galement le mat\u00e9riau dominant pour de nombreux b\u00e2timents du Masterplan. Cela n\u2019a pu \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 qu\u2019en travaillant c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 et en examinant diff\u00e9rents sc\u00e9narios avec Nextensa et les autorit\u00e9s. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un processus de conception it\u00e9ratif et collaboratif, nous sommes parvenus \u00e0 la forme actuelle, apr\u00e8s avoir explor\u00e9 conjointement ce qui permettrait d\u2019obtenir la meilleure densit\u00e9 et le meilleur programme pour le site. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce type de collaboration s\u2019\u00e9tend aux architectes avec lesquels nous avons travaill\u00e9 sur le projet du site de Tour &amp; Taxis.
